Policy Hacks Oxford: Recovering from Covid-19

Online Policy Hackathon

by the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community, Oxford Hub

This was a weekend-long hackathon to create data-driven solutions and policy proposals to help the City of Oxford tackle specific problems that will arise in a post-COVID world.

Structured like a technology hackathon, the event created a space for collaboration and dialogue between students, professionals and the local government.

Our participants ranged from coders, policy analysts, social entrepreneusr, researchers to engaged members of the community!

What did participants work towards?

Our participants worked in teams to create a business or technical solution along with a policy proposal for how it could be implemented.

Our judges looked for solutions that are technically sound, practically feasible and highly scalable.
